Lockers in schools? Teachers need them too!

Lockers can make a huge difference to a school – and not just for pupils! While more headmasters insist that school lockers are fitted on the premises, it seems some are yet to realise that teacher lockers could be useful too. Teachers have plenty to gain from using them too. Let’s look at three advantages to consider.

Convenience

Teachers often have to dash from classroom to classroom – often with only a few minutes to make it on time. Therefore, it’s just not convenient for them to lug around books, bags and coats with them if they’re not needed. Meanwhile, with teacher lockers, these items could be stored away safely until the final bell.

Necessity

Teachers will not just be happy to leave their personal belongings lying around. Many, understandably, don’t like the idea of their possessions leaving their sight unless they can safely lock them away. In this regard, teacher lockers can be seen as a necessity if teachers are to feel relaxed while doing their job.

Example

It sets a terrible example when a teacher’s phone goes off in the classroom. After all, students are advised not to bring their mobile phones into the classroom. Instead they store them safely in lockers. Teachers wouldn’t need to worry about a call coming through if they have the same luxury as pupils. This should ensure that their lessons run more smoothly and there is no temptation for others to bring their phone into the classroom too.

Enjoy the benefits

Teachers will no doubt jump at the chance to use a locker if presented with the opportunity. This way they’ll be able to enjoy all these benefits and more. For information on choosing a wide range of lockers, check out our lockers for teachers selection.
